Dust Conditioner
- Also called Paddle Mixers or Pug Mills, these consist of two or more numbers counter rotating shafts with attached paddles made of wear resistant material.
- These counter rotating shafts mix and convey the material at the same time
- Dust conditioners are used to condition (mix) powdered material such as fly ash etc with conditioning medium (water in case of ash) to make powder (fly ash) in a more manageable consistency.
- Water is sprayed with the help of specially designed nozzles which spray fine mist of water instead of a stream to have uniform consistency of mixed media and to avoid slurry or wet formation of mixed media.
- Water quantity and flow rate of material is decided as per customer specification for moisture content.
